Heather Doyle is Icon’s Accreditation and Skills Manager and leads on supporting Pathway Members, as well as Mentors and Assessors involved in the training and accreditation process.
An experienced education manager and trainer, Heather has spent almost a decade overseeing work-based learning programmes in the Higher Education sector before joining Icon.

Emma is Icon’s Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for the development and delivery of Icon’s strategic ambitions. She manages the staff team and works closely with the Board of Trustees, Board Committees, and volunteers drawn from the membership.
Emma is an experienced heritage sector leader and fundraising professional and joined Icon from Historic England where she was Head of Partnerships & Development. Emma has a track record of successful delivery in previous roles as Chief Executive of Didcot Railway Centre, Director of Development at the Jewish Museum London, and Head of Fundraising for The Postal Museum.

Eleanor is Icon’s Membership Officer (Communications and Marketing). She supports the Marketing and Membership Manager with Icon’s communications and marketing efforts to promote Icon membership. She will also be supporting in the processing of membership applications, managing renewals, and addressing membership queries.
Eleanor has a BSc in Business Marketing Management from Lancaster University and has a background in digital marketing, communications, and events.

Amy is Icon’s Marketing and Membership Manager and leads the membership team to develop and implement effective marketing and promotion of Icon’s membership.
A historian by training, she is a heritage sector professional with over ten years’ experience from a variety of organisations, including National Museums Scotland, the National Trust for Scotland, Historic Royal Palaces, Chelsea Physic Garden and National Army Museum.

Patrick is Icon’s Policy and Programmes Director where he is responsible for managing the development of Icon’s membership, specialist groups, policy and research, professional accreditation and broader activities to support the continued development of a highly skilled professional conservation workforce which is valued, recognised, and rewarded.
Prior to joining Icon in 2015, Patrick worked across a variety of roles in both the public and private sectors focused on the development, delivery and evaluation of vocational training programmes, community development activities and urban regeneration projects across the UK and Europe.

Isobelle is Icon’s Business and Projects Officer. She supports the Chief Executive Officer and Policy and Programmes Director on finance and governance processes and work connected with Icon’s sector research and policy publications.
Isobelle has both an MA and BA in the History of Art from the Courtauld Institute where she specialised in postwar British art. She has a background in events, communications and business within contemporary architecture.

Karen is the editor of Iconnect Magazine.
After gaining more than 23 years of experience working as an Editor, Communications Manager and then Senior Management Team member for a professional association for therapists, Karen took the plunge and went freelance in 2021. Over the years, she has written articles for a wide range of trade and consumer publications, ranging from health magazines (International Therapist, Natural Health, Health & Wellbeing, Women’s Health) to Coast Magazine and The Guardian.
