Accreditation

Conservators require a wide range of knowledge, understanding and practical skills - all of which should continue to develop over your career

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) offers a structured approach to learning at any point in your career, incorporating knowledge, skills and practical experience. CPD can involve any relevant learning activity, whether formal and structured or informal and self-directed.

Professional development within conservation may include formal training, whether academic or vocational, leading to a qualification. It may also mean a professional qualification such as Icon’s Professional Accreditation of Conservator-Restorers (PACR) or work-based learning such as Icon internships.
