This role will be based in Fine Art Restoration Company’s flagship studio in Cumbria, a modern and collaborative space with supervision from the studio manager, Sophie McAloone.
Fine Art Restoration Company is a multidisciplinary studio with a painting conservation team that works on a wide range of artwork, from traditional oils to contemporary pieces. Focusing primarily on work from private clients, historic estates and insurance companies, the busy atmosphere will allow you to fully immerse yourself within a thriving conservation business.
Fine Art Restoration Company is the studio of choice for many institutions, businesses and insurance companies. Previous and ongoing clients include Hiscox, Durham Cathedral, Westminster Council, Mandarin Oriental, the US Ambassador’s Residence, Farnborough Abbey, South Ormsby Hall and Powderham Castle.
What does the role entail?
We are looking for the following experience and qualities in each applicant:
Location
Fine Art Restoration Company is located in Carlisle, Cumbria. This historic city is situated minutes away from the beautiful Lake District National Park and Hardian’s Wall. The city boasts a culturally significant castle, 900 year old cathedral and beautiful park, as well as many independent restaurants, shops and the Tullie House museum.
Major train routes run through Carlisle station on a regular basis, making it easily accessible. Direct train routes include London, Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Newcastle. Bus routes run from the city centre to the conservation studio every morning and afternoon.
