Canadian Association for Conservation of Cultural Property: 48th Annual CAC Conference and Workshops

CAC will host our 48th annual conference on the beautiful traditional territory of the the lək̓ʷəŋən peoples (also known as the Esquimalt and Songhees First Nations), Victoria BC

The Canadian Association for Conservation of Cultural Property (CAC) will host our 48th annual conference on the beautiful traditional territory of the the lək̓ʷəŋən peoples (also known as the Esquimalt and Songhees First Nations), Victoria BC, from May 31st – June 2nd, 2023. The theme for the conference is “re-set and re-connect” something that we as a conservation community all need right now. Join us between the tranquil waters of the Salish Sea and the coastal rainforests of Vancouver Island to explore some of Victoria’s local history with our guided tours. Stay tuned for more information about our workshops, talks, and tours.

The National Conference Committee will continue to follow public health guidelines and advice for large gatherings to ensure that we can safely meet for an in-person conference. Updates will be provided throughout the planning process. In order to support our major programming and reinvigorate networking in our professional community, CAC strongly encourages in-person attendance of conference presenters. Arrangements for virtual recordings may be made in extenuating circumstances and virtual viewing of sessions will be possible. More details on virtual viewing will be provided at a later date.
