Books, letters, photographs, parchment, postcards, watercolours and tracing paper; these are just some of the diverse paper items that are found in a collection or archive. This workshop will cover all you need to know about how to care for such objects. It will include handling, storage materials, storage enclosures, the environment and the ever controversial issue of gloves or no gloves. The day will be a combination of demonstrations, presentations and participation, giving delegates practical experience of money-saving approaches to caring for paper-based collections.
