The General Data Protection Regulation came into force earlier this year. We have all no doubt been inundated with emails over the last few months asking for our permission to be contacted. However, the GDPR is certainly more than that and is going to have wide ranging impacts on how you market your services and operate your business.
Icon is delighted to announce that we have been working with the law firm, Withers, to deliver a webinar which will provide you with an overview of the principles of the legislation, highlighting the ways in which it is likely to impact you and your organisation. This event is open to all, however it will be particularly useful if you run your own business or work on a freelance basis.
Presented by Rosanna Foster, Associate, Intellectual Property and Technology, this event will cover:
- What is the GDPR
- How the GDPR builds on previous legislation
- What is the scope of the legislation, and how it impacts on your work
- The impact on data processing, what you need to consider.
- Where you might need to seek formal advice
There will also be plenty of opportunities to ask questions.
