Belfast is well-connected and a short flight from major UK cities such as Bristol, Cardiff, Glasgow and London.

Getting to Belfast

By air

Belfast is served by two airports and is within easy reach of national and international destinations:

  • The George Best Belfast City Airport is located three miles from Belfast Waterfront. A regular bus service runs to and from the city centre and the journey time by car is around five minutes.
  • Belfast International Airport is around 20 miles north of the city centre and the average journey time by car is around 45 minutes. There is a regular bus service to and from the city centre.

By boat

  • Belfast is well served by ferries and we are located near the main port.
  • Stena Line and P&O Irish Sea Ferries operate daily services from the UK to Northern Ireland.


Getting to ICC Belfast | Waterfront Hall

On foot

ICC Belfast | Waterfront Hall is located in Lanyon Place beside the River Lagan approximately five minutes’ walk from the city centre – just follow the directions from Belfast City Hall towards Chichester Street.  Cross at the traffic lights on Victoria Street, continue past the law courts and then cross at the traffic lights on Oxford Street – ICC Belfast | Waterfront Hall is located next to the Belfast Hilton Hotel.

By car

If you are traveling on a major road into the city, follow signs for the city centre and Belfast Waterfront via East Bridge Street or Oxford Street.

Local Car Parking Facilities

There are two 24-hour car parks located near Belfast Waterfront, offering more than 800 parking spaces:

  • The multi-storey Lanyon Place car park is located 100 metres from the venue.
  • The car park at the Belfast Hilton Hotel is also multi-storey and is next door to the building.

The current hourly rate for the car parks in Lanyon Place and the Belfast Hilton Hotel is £2.50.

Our customers can benefit from a special evening rate of £7.50 (available in both car parks from 5.30pm – 12am). It's best to pre-pay on arrival to avoid queues when you are leaving the car park.

By train

The nearest train station is Central Station, which is in East Bridge Street, around five minutes’ walk from the venue.

There is a regular train service to Dublin and the average journey time is approx. two hours.

By bus

The nearest bus station is the Laganside Bus Centre, which is approx. two minutes’ walk from ICC Belfast | Waterfront Hall.

There is a bus stop on Oxford Street, directly outside the building.

The main bus provider in Belfast is Translink, which runs both Ulsterbus and Citybus Metro services.


Getting to Ulster Museum
Botanic Gardens, Belfast BT9 5AB

On foot

The Ulster Museum is a 25-30 minute walk from Belfast City Centre. Follow signs for Queen’s. 

By train

It is a 10 minute walk to the Ulster Museum from Botanic Station. Botanic Station is on the Bangor to Portadown rail line and connections to Larne and Londonderry as well as for the cross-border service can be made in Belfast Central Station.

By bus

There is a bus stop on the Stranmillis Road side of the Museum building. Bus lines ‘Metro 8A and 8D Malone Road’ depart from Donegall Square East in Belfast City Centre every 10 minutes.

On foot 

Belfast City Hall is located in Donegall Square, in the heart of Belfast city centre. 

By train

Translink operate regular train services to and from Belfast City Centre. Central station and Great Victoria Street are both within walking distance to City Hall.

By bus
