The Tenth Annual Cambridge Conference of the Historic Interiors Section of Icon will continue the section’s chronological appraisal of historic interiors through the centuries by focusing on the period from the Pre-Raphaelites to the Arts and Crafts.

Event description:

These two styles, and the various artists and craftsmen associated with them, are often conflated. The conference will attempt to disentangle popular misconceptions through a series of fascinating talks given by curators, historians, conservators and paint analysts focusing of the interiors and artists of both movements.

The one-day conference will be held at the McCrum Lecture Theatre, Corpus Christi College, Cambridge, on Friday. April 12th, 2019. The day also includes lunch at Corpus Christi College followed by a tour of Church Rate Corner, one of the last Baillie Scott houses in Cambridge. The evening concludes with a leisurely punt followed by dinner at La Mimosa. Please indicate attendance for Dinner bookings (via Event Brite order)
