To: Wednesday 13.02.19
Blythe House Archive
23 Blythe Road
The Modern Materials Network will be holding their first meeting on Wednesday, 13th February 2019 at the Blythe House Archive in London. Home to object stores for the Science Museum, British Museum, and Victoria & Albert Museum, Blythe House contains hundreds of thousands of unique items, many which are composed of modern materials.
The meeting will include presentations on current research in the field, a tour of the Science Museum’s historic plastics collection, as well as a roundtable discussion on the challenges facing our collections today as we confront novel materials. A reception will follow to encourage networking and brainstorming about the future of the network. More details to follow.
Due to the nature of the venue, places will be limited to 30 attendees.
