Another chance to learn glass painting with Petri Anderson AMGP!
This course is designed for stained glass conservators who already have some experience in glass painting and wish to enhance their skills. Participants are required to bring their own brushes; a list of necessary brushes will be provided beforehand. All other materials are included in the course cost.

The two-day course will take place on Saturday 7th June and Sunday 8th June, both from 09:00-17:00.

The course will take place at Iona Art Glass, The Old Police Station, Leslie Drive, Amble, Morpeth NE65 0PX.
Travel
Iona Art Glass can be reached by traveling on LNER’s high-speed Azuma train to Alnmouth station. From there, a taxi can be pre-booked, or you can catch the X18 bus to Amble, which takes between 20-30 minutes. From the bus stop, it is a 5-minute walk to Iona Art Glass.
Accommodation
Amble offers a wide range of Airbnbs due to its popularity as a coastal holiday destination. The Amble Inn and the coastal Radcliffe Lodge are close to Iona Art Glass. In the neighboring village of Warkworth, the Sun Hotel is located opposite Warkworth Castle and is a 30-minute walk from the studio.

Petri Anderson AMGP is the director, chief designer and painter at Mongoose Stained Glass Ltd. He started studying restoration glass painting in 1989 under the tutelage of Peter Archer AMGP and Alfred Fisher FMGP. Upon Mr Archer's retirement, Petri became head designer and painter for Chapel Studio before establishing Mongoose Stained Glass in 2005. He is an Associate of the British Society of Master Glass Painters (BSMGP).
Petri's work can be seen nationally in parish churches, cathedrals, private homes, schools, colleges, and city livery companies. In recent years his portfolio has taken on a new dimension with work in the USA, Japan, Central Asia, Finland, and the Carribean. In 2022 he was invited to run a procreate stained glass design workshop at the American Glass Guild Conference in Corning.
