Middle Temple Rooms Tour and Lunch

A Tour of the Middle Temple Rooms followed by Lunch in Middle Temple Hall

The Middle Temple is one of the four Inns of Court near Fleet Street, the Strand and the Embankment in the heart of London. The Middle Temple has been a home for Barristers since about 1320. The main buildings were built between 1562 and 1573. Many of the Tudor details have remained virtually unchanged with original features, including detailed architecture, oak panelling, heraldic stained glass memorial windows and the double hammer beam roof of the Middle Temple Hall.

Please meet in the Garden Room at 10.45am.

The closest Tube station is Temple. The Garden Room (located on Middle Temple Lane) opens at 9.00am, where breakfast, coffee and drinks can be purchased, if you wish, whilst you are waiting. The tour will start at 11.00am and will encompass the magnificent and spectacular Hall, whichever Bench Apartments are available for viewing (Queen's Room, Parliament Chamber, Prince's Room) and the Library.

Lunch in Middle Temple Hall (available from 12:15 to 14:00) will follow the tour.

The lunch menus include an extensive cold table, a selection of hot dishes, a carvery and fish & chips on Fridays.

The ticket price of £20.00 per person for this event enables attendees to have a main dish (£14.00) and a desert (£6.00) for lunch.  Attendees can then buy extras on the day, for example, soup (£5.30), tea/coffee (£2.80).  A bar is available for purchases of soft drinks, Champagne, wine and beer. All extras must be paid by card on the day.

The dress code is business suit, court dress or smart casual dress. Jeans may be worn if both clean and smart. Middle Temple does not permit guests wearing inappropriate/ripped/dirty clothing. Shorts are not permitted at any time. Middle Temple reserves the right to refuse entrance to the Hall, without refund, if guests do not follow the dress code.
