The North American Hand Papermakers enthusiastically announce Paper Currents 2020, which will convene online this 17th and 18th October to circulate new ideas and approaches between papermakers, scholars, artists, conservators, and paper aficionados around the world.

Paper Currents: What’s flowing in your practice? What are you looking at now? What are you studying or writing about? What are you noticing in the world of papermaking (and allied fields)? What has currency for you at this moment? Be a part of Paper Currents 2020! We will have two amazing speakers this year, our Anita Lynn Forgach Keynote speaker Dr Steeve Buckridge will present on "The Wonders of Jamaican Lace-Bark: Materiality, Performativity and the Construction of the Feminine”.  Our first Annual Elaine Koretsky Memorial Presentation will be given by Simon Barcham Green titled "Reminiscences of Hayle Mill"

North American Hand Papermakers, formerly Friends of Dard Hunter, will host this online conference to foster community, share information, and research innovative approaches in the study and practice of hand papermaking. Paper Currents draw us together while stimulating vibrant exchanges regarding papermaking practice, history, scholarship, and teaching. This conference is free with a current NAHP membership.
