Summary:

NatSCA (Natural Science Collections Association) will be holding a one-day online conference on November 19th 2020.

Event description:

Miranda Lowe and Subhadra Das will be leading the proceedings as keynote speakers, presenting an update on their widely shared NatSCA paper - Nature Read in Black and White: decolonial approaches to interpreting natural history collections https://natsca.org/article/2509

The programme will include papers originally selected for our May 2020 annual conference at National Museum Wales (Changing the World: Environmental Breakdown, Decolonisation and Natural Science collections.). A revised conference concentrating on environmental issues will be re-programmed for 2021. Updates on this will be given nearer the time.

This event will be free for NatSCA members, with opportunity for live Q&A. The recorded event will be made freely available afterwards.

The event is not held by Icon, please contact the event organisers directly: https://www.natsca.org/contact
