This is the first in a series of joint events organised by the Textiles and Book & Paper Groups.
This is the first in a series of joint events organised by the Textiles and Book & Paper Groups, exploring what we can learn from each other’s disciplines and the different ways we conserve our shared materials.
Chaired by Alice Evans, organiser of the Bodleian’s Textiles in Libraries project, this zoom evening event will provide the opportunity for cross disciplinary discussion about different treatment approaches, materials, and techniques. A panel of accredited textile, artefact, book and paper conservators will each deliver case studies ofmulti-media objects that could come under the remit of several conservation specialisms. We will hear how each approached their project, the challenges and the solutions found. The panel will discuss what they learnt and answer questions from the audience.
