In response to the crisis in Ukraine a number of Icon members and colleagues have started to think about actions that might support the care and protection of Ukraine’s cultural heritage.
Icon member, Dr Donatella Banti, has been leading this effort, and has been communicating with other individuals who would like to be part of a collective action. These activities are gathering momentum and so we’ve set up an open meeting so that Dona can share information about what has been achieved so far and members can work together to progress plans.
Themes for the meeting are likely to include:
- Fundraising
- Sending conservation materials to Ukraine
- Sponsoring refugees
- Policy actions
- Planning for reconstruction once peace is re-established
