About Us

Representing conservators and conservation practice in Northern Ireland

The Northern Ireland Group has been established to represent the tight-knit conservation community in Northern Ireland. In doing so, it aims to ensure that high standards of conservation practice are advocated for within the Northern Irish Government and local sector bodies. We work closely with the Institute of Conservator-Restorers Ireland to deliver our activities.

Our group is open to all who are interested in developing conservation practice in Northern Ireland, regardless of where they live or work.

Our objectives are to:

  • Collaborate, share, and disseminate best practices across heritage bodies and professionals in Northern Ireland.
  • Promote and champion conservation as a discipline.
  • Provide a forum for conservators to learn and engage together.

We welcome ideas and suggestions and encourage members to share interesting case studies, topics for discussion, information, and news.
