June Baker Trust Grants
About the June Baker Trust
The Trust was established nearly 30 years ago to commemorate the life of a quirky, stylish, inspirational individual, June Baker, an eclectic collector who displayed her treasures with flair and repaired them with skill. When she died her friends got together with her son to establish the Trust, which today is overseen by nine Trustees who meet twice a year - some conservators, some not, and some who knew June.
What we do
The June Baker Trust was set up to promote and encourage the development and study of the arts and sciences of restoration and conservation of historical or artistic artefacts in Scotland. Over the years, it has given grants totalling over £30,000 to more than 115 individuals of all ages and many nationalities, living, studying or working in Scotland.
Grants for Conservators
Our long-standing permanent programme awards grants of around £300 each to help conservators at all career stages to attend conferences, workshops and short courses, take study tours, improve workshops and purchase tools, books and materials. To be eligible you have to be a conservator and able to demonstrate a connection to Scotland through work, birth, living, education or other means.
Deadline: 31st May each year.
