The Public Record Office of Northern Ireland are seeking a Head of Conservation

The Head of Conservation is an exciting new leadership role which provides an opportunity to further develop collections management in PRONI. The post holder will provide a professional lead and strategic direction for the broad range of preservation and conservation activity and collection care provided by the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to take their career to the next level, with the scope to influence and shape the direction of the conservation service. You will have a qualification in paper conservation (books and documents) recognised by ARA and/or ICON, along with Accredited Conservator-Restorer status through Professional Accreditation of Conservator Restorers (PACR); The Institute of Conservator –Restorers in Ireland (ICRI) or an equivalent body or be able to demonstrate your commitment to gain it.

Further appointments may be made from this competition should NICS positions become vacant which require the same eligibility criteria and have similar duties and responsibilities.
