Icon has partnered with Tru Vue to offer grants of between £300 and £1,000 per applicant

The grants are intended to help mid-career conservators from around the world attend professional development events such as conferences and training courses. Grants can be used for relevant costs such as event tickets, travel and materials. During the previous partnership with Tru Vue, conservators receiving grants used them to:

  • Attend workshops on new methods of cleaning surfaces
  • Study communication and teaching skills in conservation science
  • Attend courses on leather conservation

"Goals for the programme include encouraging international exchange and dissemination of training and conference information. We hope conservators with a thirst to learn from all over the world will take advantage of this programme and the knowledge it can bring to their communities.” Tru Vue

The details for the next application round are as follows:

Application deadline: 30th April 2017

Decision notice: 12th May 2017
