AMTeC Heritage Science CIC (Deadline 25/01/2025)
AMTeC Heritage Science CIC is hosting a community High Street Festival on Saturday 22 February, celebrating local heritage, conservation and community. CSI: Sittingbourne is in a shopping mall off the High Street, and will be exhibiting some highlights of recent projects, including a 6th century sword that has recently been in the news. Sittingbourne's history as a papermaking, brick making, barge building, and 'public engagement with conservation' centre is being woven into this 'Urban Wassail' event.
We are looking for volunteers/conservators who wish to get involved, either as helpers or exhibitors/workshop leaders.
Conservators are invited to contribute with a small table/poster/activity display of their own design.
Role Commitment
11:00 - 5:00 Saturday 22 February
This schedule includes 1 hour for seting up and dismantling. There will be a 'Wassail Parade', to thank shopkeepers and wish them prosperity for the new year, along the High Street at the end of the day. Stalls are expected to begin packing up around 4:00PM.
