Lincoln Cathedral is looking to recruit an experienced, skilled and talented Head of Glazing to join their team. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of the team and grow their in-house stained glass conservation department.

The Cathedral’s glazing collection includes internationally important 13th and 14th century medieval stained glass, including the north and south rose windows, otherwise known as the Dean’s Eye and Bishop’s Eye, 18th century glazing by William Peckitt and a large arrangement of 19th and 20th century monumental glass. Many of the well known Victorian stained glass studios are present, such as Clayton and Bell, Ward and Hughes, and the Hardman Studio.

Current projects include the comprehensive conservation of four early 13th century lancets. set underneath the Bishops Eye rose window, these gothic lancets are part of the primary historic glazing in the southwest transept of the cathedral and form a significant part of our medieval glazing heritage.

Your Role

The Head of Glazing will have a unique opportunity shape and develop a glazing team at Lincoln Cathedral identifying funding opportunities with key partners.
