Icon is delighted to announce that it has been elected as a National Trust Appointing Body.
Icon has been formally elected as a National Trust Appointing Body during the Annual General Meeting held in Newcastle on Saturday 2 November 2024.
Icon is one of 18 organisations elected to support the National Trust over the next six years. As an Appointing Body, Icon will contribute to the National Trust’s mission by advocating for the critical role of conservators and ensuring that heritage sites and collections are safeguarded for future generations. This partnership will also enable wider public engagement with cultural heritage, fostering greater appreciation and accessibility.
Icon’s Chief Executive Emma Jhita said:
We look forward to supporting the National Trust in safeguarding our cultural heritage and championing the vital role of conservators - ensuring wider audiences than ever before can benefit from engagement with heritage.
