UCL introduces master’s programme for heritage, foresight and policy
UCL has developed a new master’s programme to help policy and strategy teams think about the future from a heritage perspective.
Offered by the UCL Institute for Sustainable Heritage, the MSc Heritage Evidence, Foresight and Policy will equip graduates to “think critically and strategically about the long-term future of what matters.”
The programme will introduce students to a wide range of theoretical and practical approaches to the future by drawing on heritage values including care, maintenance and stewardship, alongside established foresight and futures studies methods.
Expert perspectives from sociology, history, design and critical heritage studies will be brought together with the views of professionals operating in foresight, futures, heritage and policy.
The course offers to equip those working (or aspiring to work) in heritage, social and cultural policy contexts with a unique skillset that can support long-term decision-making in their organisation.
