The Clothworkers Foundation and Anna Plowden Trust work in partnership to offer Continuing Professional Development grants to conservators are based and work in the UK. These grants enable practising conservators to take advantage of CPD opportunities by contributing towards the cost of short courses and attending conferences.
Grants can be awarded for up to £1,000 or 50% (whichever is the smaller amount) of the cost of the conference or training course.
In 2016/17 the Anna Plowden Trust awarded 54 CPD grants enabling conservators to attend 39 conferences and courses in the UK and overseas. Many of the grantees presented papers at both national and international conferences.
All applications must be made on the Anna Plowden Trust's application form, which can be downloaded from the Trust’s website.
