Response to the Scottish Government on funding for culture

The Scottish Parliament’s Constitution, Europe, External Affairs and Culture Committee asked individuals, groups and businesses operating in the creative sector for their views on funding for culture in Scotland.

Working with the Icon Scotland Group Icon submitted a response, which included calls to support retention of conservation workforce; and support for training and entry routes into the conservation profession. We also recommended greater investment in collections care; further support for the development of awareness of conservation across the heritage sector; and active support for key sector stakeholders (such as Icon).
