Kick-start your career in conservation
At its core, the Icon Internship Programme provides a comprehensive management framework that allows host trainers to focus on what they do best - sharing their expertise and providing hands-on experience in the workplace to help interns build their knowledge and skills in conservation practice.
Interns benefit from a tax-free stipend and a structured learning framework that supports their development throughout the programme. The internship also fosters a strong understanding of the practical application of Icon’s Professional Standards in Conservation through day-to-day work. This additional layer of guidance and support is what sets an Icon internship apart. Each intern is supported by a dedicated Intern Advisor, who, together with the host supervisor, helps them navigate both the practical aspects of the placement and their broader professional growth.
Over the years, nearly 200 people have taken part in the Icon Internship Programme. Read on below to find out more about their experiences and how the programme has helped them to kick-start their careers in conservation!
